Covid-19 Notice

Haymarket Iceplex welcomes you back!  We are all very eager to get back on the ice!

As we begin to re-open slowly on  June 19,  you will be able to register online only for each event scheduled. Hit the registration tab and make sure you have an account with us. Find your event/date and time and register for it.

We will NOT be holding Learn To Skate Classes right away. If you were enrolled in session 2 of 2020 classes please stand by for when we will resume that session for you. We thank you for your patience during this time. Everyone's safety is always first.

Below are guidelines that must be followed while using our facility. It is important for all of us to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

  • BEFORE ARRIVING TO OUR FACILITY:
    • Participants should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their ice session. Doors to the facility will remain closed until 10 minutes prior to the start of an activity. Please practice social distancing while waiting for entry.
    • We have established a separate entrance and exit to assist in social distancing.
    • Spectators are not allowed at this time. However, 1 parent may accompany skaters 10 and under. We encourage parents to remain in their vehicle in the parking lot during ice sessions. The rink owns a separate parking lot across the street from our entrance.
    • Locker rooms will not be available for participants or coaches. Individuals who are participating must dress at home and come to the rink needing only to put on skates, helmet, and gloves.
    • Please bring a full water bottle with your name clearly labeled on it. Sharing of water bottles and use of our water fountains is not permitted
    • Each participant is allowed a 1-gallon sized bag to contain items that they may need during training, this must be labeled with participants name. Everything else must be left in your vehicle, this includes all hockey and figure skating bags.
    • Face coverings will be required in the facility. They may be removed when on the ice.
    • If you have tested positive (whether you have symptoms related to COVID-19 or not), or otherwise been diagnosed with COVID-19, you may not enter the building until cleared by a qualified medical professional.
    • If you know, believe, or suspect that you have been exposed to COVID-19, or have come in to contact with a person infected by COVID-19, you should self-isolate, and may not enter the building until 14-days have passed in which you are symptom free.
    • Participants displaying COVID-19 symptoms or other signs of illness should not come to the facility.
    • Showers, water fountains, and vending machines will be off-limits until further notice.
    • Each coach, volunteer, player, family, or other participant must decide for themselves whether or not to participate in activities knowing that until COVID-19 is either eradicated, a vaccine is developed, or a cure is found, there is no way of completely eliminating the risk of infection. Educate yourself as to the risks involved, make informed choices, and above all do everything you possibly can to stay safe.
  • UPON ENTERING OUR FACILITY:
    • A screening of all individuals entering the facility for any programming will include a temperature check. If you have a temperature above 100.4 or any symptoms associated with COVID-19, you may not enter the facility.
    • We have sneeze guards in areas that require customer and employee interactions.

Rink staff will be routinely wiping down door handles and other surfaces with which the public will be in contact, as well as make sure areas of the rink are kept clean to the best of our ability.

Some things you can do, recommended by the Center for Disease Control:

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

AVOID CLOSE CONTACT

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

TAKE STEPS TO PROTECT OTHERS

  • Stay home if you are sick.

COVER COUGHS AND SNEEZES

  • Throw used tissue in the trash.
